Khanmigo is Khan Academy's implementation of GPT-4 for educational purposes — one of the most thoughtfully designed educational AI products available. Rather than simply answering student questions, Khanmigo guides students to find answers themselves.

## Socratic Tutoring Philosophy

Khanmigo doesn't just give students answers — it asks questions that guide students toward understanding. If a student is stuck on a math problem, Khanmigo might ask: "What do you know about the problem so far?" or "What would happen if you tried this approach?" This Socratic method is intentional — research shows that guided discovery leads to deeper learning than being told the answer.
