Lex is a writing tool that integrates AI assistance into a clean, distraction-free editor. It is designed for people who write seriously — essays, articles, newsletters, and books — and want AI help that feels native to the writing process.

## The Writing Experience

The core interface is minimal: a clean editor with no sidebars and no clutter. AI assistance is available when you want it, invisible when you do not.

**AI Autocomplete**: As you write, Lex offers ghost text suggestions — like Gmail Smart Compose but for long-form prose. Press Tab to accept a suggestion, keep typing to ignore it. Suggestions are contextual to your document.

**Generation on Demand**: Hit a keyboard shortcut and Lex generates a continuation based on what you have written. It reads the full document before generating to maintain your voice and direction.

**Rewrite**: Select any passage and ask Lex to rewrite it — more concisely, more formally, more vividly, or in a different voice. Shows original and suggestion side-by-side.

## Document Organization

Documents are synced in the cloud with version history tracking every save. Share documents publicly with a Lex link for feedback without exporting.

## Collaborative Writing

Real-time collaboration lets multiple writers work in the same document simultaneously, with AI features available to all collaborators.
