Nabla addresses one of healthcare's most significant problems: documentation burden. Nabla's ambient AI listens to clinical encounters and writes the note so the physician doesn't have to.

How It Works

Ambient Listening During a patient encounter, the physician opens Nabla on their phone or computer. The AI listens to the conversation (with patient consent) through the microphone. No transcription setup required, no dictation — just natural conversation with the patient.

AI-Generated Clinical Notes After the encounter, Nabla produces a structured SOAP note (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) or other note format configured for the specialty. The note includes:

• Patient's chief complaint and history of present illness in their own words
• Review of systems
• Assessment with differential diagnoses
• Treatment plan and orders
• Follow-up recommendations

Physician Review and Edit The physician reviews the AI draft, makes any corrections, and approves. Average review time: 30–60 seconds. The approved note is then synced to the EHR.

EHR Integration Nabla integrates with major EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and others. Notes can be pushed directly into the encounter documentation workflow.

Clinical Accuracy

Nabla's models are trained on millions of clinical encounters and reviewed against physician-written notes. The AI captures medical terminology accurately, understands medications and dosages, and handles multi-issue encounters where multiple conditions are discussed.
