About
AI-native mobile browser that browses the web for you — tap 'Browse for Me' and Arc Search reads multiple pages, extracts the answer, and presents it directly.
In-Depth Review
Arc Search is a mobile browser from The Browser Company (makers of Arc for Mac) that reimagines what a search and browsing experience looks like with AI at the center. Its flagship feature, Browse for Me, is a demonstration of AI-first search: instead of returning a list of links, Arc Search reads the relevant pages and synthesizes an answer.
## How It Works
**Browse for Me** — Type a query and tap "Browse for Me." Arc Search identifies the most relevant web pages for your question, fetches them, and reads their content. It then generates a structured answer — not a summary of summaries, but a direct response drawn from actual page content. Sources are cited and accessible.
**Regular browsing too** — Arc Search is also a full-featured browser. You can navigate URLs, tab between pages, and use it as your primary mobile browser. The AI layer is opt-in.
**Arc Search page** — When viewing any web page, you can ask Arc Search questions about the content. "What's the main argument of this article?" or "Is there anything in this document about pricing?"
**Privacy** — Arc Search does not track browsing history for ad targeting. The Browse for Me feature sends URLs to Arc's servers for processing.
**iOS and Android** — Available as a full mobile browser.
## Reception
Arc Search received significant positive attention after launch for its Browse for Me feature, which was seen as a more useful implementation of AI-in-search than competitors' answer-box implementations. It's particularly well-suited for fact-finding queries where you want an answer, not a list of options.
