Magic Media (Text-to-Image)

Magic Media is Canva's text-to-image generator built on proprietary and licensed models. Type a prompt and generate custom images, videos (AI-generated short clips), and artwork for use in designs. Canva's integration means generated images can be instantly placed into existing design templates.

Magic Write (AI Copywriting)

Magic Write generates copy for any design context: taglines, social captions, presentation text, marketing copy, blog content, and product descriptions. The AI understands the design context (a social post vs. a presentation slide) and adapts tone and length accordingly.

Magic Edit and Magic Eraser

Magic Edit lets users describe changes to images in natural language — "replace the background with an office setting" or "change her jacket to red." Magic Eraser removes unwanted objects from images with one brush stroke. These tools bring Photoshop-level editing capabilities to non-technical users.

Magic Resize

One of Canva's most-used AI features: resize any design for different formats (Instagram story, LinkedIn post, Twitter header) automatically with AI-optimized layout adjustments for each aspect ratio. What used to require manual redesign for each format now happens in one click.

Canva Free: full access to templates and basic design, plus limited Magic Studio AI credits. Canva Pro: $18/month, or about $12/month billed annually at $144/year (premium templates, brand kit, 1TB storage, 500 AI credits/month shared across Magic Studio).
